The Goddard School® is a franchisor of over 600+ early childhood education providers with a core focus of learning through play.
As a graphic design intern, I provided creative services and traditional design for marketing campaigns, digital and print advertising, email marketing communication, social media, and other consumer-facing materials.
As part of a brand refresh at Goddard, I was tasked with redesigning various pieces of school collateral to reflect a new, vibrant brand identity focused on playfulness, warmth, and child-centric design.
Prior to the refresh, Goddard’s materials featured a structured and linear design dominated by the color red, which appeared overly formal and not child-friendly. The challenge was to transform these elements to better communicate the brand’s new voice: friendly, passionate, insightful, and optimistic.
The before and after images below showcase a series of updated school stationery that transition from the old, rigid format to new designs utilizing a palette of bright, welcoming colors and playful elements. This redesign not only made the materials more visually appealing, but also more aligned with the brand’s child-friendly ethos.
