Technium
This is a branding redesign for the Danmarks Tekniske Museum (Danish Museum of Science & Technology) which houses one of the finest collections of science and technology in Northern Europe.
Since 1965, it has been located in Helsingør, but will soon relocate to the Svanemølleværket building, a former power station in central Copenhagen. The plans for Danmarks Tekniske Museum include not only a physical move, but a rethinking of the institution as a modern contemporary museum.
I have rebranded the museum to have a more fresh and approachable feel, lending itself to a family-friendly audience. My final "Technium" brand identity supports the image of a forward-looking, vibrant exhibition venue with strong identity-creating graphic elements.
Furthermore, it was important to me that the design helps to stage the building itself, which is considered a strong physical identity marker for the future museum.
